Six and a Half Days is the writing, photography, and visual work of Curtis Kessler.
The name comes from a simple idea: faith is not meant to be lived only on Sunday morning. It is meant to shape the other six and a half days, as well — the ordinary, in-between moments of everyday life.
This space exists to explore what it means to walk with God daily, not by providing all the answers or trying to tie everything up neatly, but by slowing down and observing the world around us. Through thoughtful writing, photography, and visual art, Six and a Half Days looks for beauty, meaning, and truth in everyday life.
The writing here is rooted in Christian faith, but it is not about having everything figured out. It is about paying attention, asking honest questions, and learning to follow Christ every day of the week.
The photography and visual work ranges from landscapes and wildlife to travel, creative, and experimental pieces. Some images have purpose. Some tell a story. Others are simply joyful, curious, or fun. All of it is part of living fully and creatively in the world God has made.
Six and a Half Days is not a ministry or a photography brand in the traditional sense. It is a body of work shaped by faith, curiosity, and the belief that God meets us not only in sacred spaces, but in everyday life.
If you’re looking for polished answers or quick inspiration, this may not be the place.
But if you’re interested in living faith out loud in everyday life — welcome.
About Curtis Kessler
I am a writer and photographer who believes faith isn’t just for Sundays. I explore what it means to follow Christ in everyday life — not by having all the answers, but by asking honest questions and paying attention to the world around us.
My photography grows from curiosity and a desire to explore and learn, and my writing grows from the same place — from observation, questions, and the desire to live faith out in everyday life. I am a husband and the father of four, and much of what I write is shaped by ordinary moments at home and in the world around me.
Everything here — words, images, and projects — is part of that ongoing journey.
